What standards were used to develop easyCBM?
-
The reading assessments are based on the ‘Big Five’ constructs of reading reported in the National Reading
Panel (2000). Included are measures of early literacy (Letter Names, Phoneme Segmenting), phonics (Letter
Sounds), fluency (Word and Passage Reading Fluency) vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
-
In addition, for students receiving literacy instruction in Spanish, the system offers measures of early
literacy (syllable segmenting), phonics (syllable sound fluency), fluency (word and sentence reading
fluency), and vocabulary in grades K-2.
-
Two different math measures are available with easyCBM. One is based on both the National Council of
Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Curriculum Focal Points and the other is based on the Common Core State
Standards.
How can I provide feedback about this system?
Send all feedback to the support@easycbm.com email address. We are interested
in hearing about the features on the system you like (so we don‘t change them on you!) and the features on the
system you find problematic (so we can change them for you).

informed decisions. We have four administration courses on the following:
- Assessments Students Learning to Read
- Assessments of Students Reading for Meaning
- Assessment of Students Learning Mathematics
- Assessments of Early Spanish Reading Skills
The courses on using student outcomes includes:
- Using Benchmark Measures to Assess Risk
- Using Progress Monitoring for Making Interventions
Each of these courses address various topics and issues on ensuring access and equity. They also include
proficiency quizzes that provide informative explanations.
